Do you Travel?
We are located in Carlsbad, California and shoot mostly in North County San Diego. Schedule permitting, we will travel for an additional fee.
How long have you been doing this?
Chelsea Maras Photography was founded in 2011. In the beginning we focused on Fashion and Boudoir but these days we specialize in Motherhood and Newborn Photography. Prior to becoming a full time photographer Chelsea completed her Degree in Studio Art and Art History at CSULB and worked both as an Art Teacher to K-grade and nannied. Not only does she have a strong background in the art world but years of experience with little ones. This work is a perfect blend of both.
How many photos do we get?
Every session is different but most full sessions get 150-200 images. Minis session galleries are around 100 with the option to upgrade.
Do you retouch photos?
All galleries delivered are fully edited with artistic filters and effects. Additional editing upon request.
Whats your turn around time?
Turnaround for most sessions is 4-6 weeks. Rushed sneaks for special occasions can be requested if time permitting.
How do we book you?
Booking available on the website, link in Instagram bio or you can email us for more information.
Can you help us with planning?
Yes! Once you book we provide help with location selection, styling and wardrobe rental options as well.
How far out do you book?
This is very dependent on the type of session you are looking to book. We recommend reaching out at least a month in advance. Maternity sessions typically book between 30-35 weeks and Newborn during the first 4 weeks for best results.
